The Sun
White Light + H-Alpha Filter
These images started with an experiment. I don't have a dedicated H-alpha solar imaging
system, but I do have a simple white light filter, and I do have a deep-sky
H-alpha filter. Together they provide some of the same benefits of
increased contrast that a dedicated solar H-alpha filter provides.
The combination of these two filters produces a monochrom image, which I
then present with false-colour for artistic reasons.
