NGC 2174 - The Monkey Head Nebula

NGC 2174 (also known as the Monkey Head Nebula) is a bright nebula near the border of Orion and Gemini, and is colocated with open cluster NGC 2175.


This is a false colour image with red mapped to Sulfur-II, green mapped to Hydrogen-Alpha, and blue mapped to Oxygen-III.
